About the Play:
Upholding a realistic tableau of contemporary India, Swadesh Deepak’ s play ‘Baal Bhagwaan’ tickles out the truth about Lust for survival. The play partially rotates around a poor Brahmin Family and their mentally challenged son called ‘Siddadh’. He is a wastrel in the sight of all, and yet comically he chances to become the destiny of the whole state – a destiny of closed eyes.  Adding to it is a heated argument between the past and the future, and a deep buried question of morality. Religion, superstition, power, media and a lot of comedy; ‘Baal Bhagwaan’ serves as a twisted mirror to the hypocritical society we live in. this is a powerful play that traces roots to the deception of humanity”
